Beerus Awakens: Beerus, the God of Destruction, awakens after a long slumber. He dreams of fighting a “Super Saiyan God” and begins searching for this warrior.

Earth Celebration: Meanwhile, the Z-Fighters celebrate Bulma’s birthday on a cruise ship. Beerus and his attendant Whis arrive, initially calm but quickly angered when Majin Buu refuses to share pudding.

Beerus vs. Z-Fighters: Vegeta, recalling Beerus’s terrifying power, tries to appease him. Despite their efforts, Beerus easily defeats Gohan, Gotenks, and even Super Saiyan 3 Goku.

Super Saiyan God Ritual: Shenron reveals that the Super Saiyan God can be created through a ritual involving five pure-hearted Saiyans channeling their energy into another. Goku undergoes the ritual with help from Vegeta, Gohan, Trunks, Goten, and Videl (carrying Pan).
